I sometimes feel helpless, mostly around the time my PMDD kicks in, all this motivation drains right out of me. I start noticing my negative spiral and think what’s the point of even doing the work I do. Does it matter?
It’s a lot to keep up with media, create a new business and do your current business. Hey, I’m not complaining because I did this to myself and it’s not that I don’t have help, I do, but my point is more about thought patterns and limiting beliefs. Thank God I’m aware of myself and when things start to spiral I know have the support . But it really got me thinking about individuals who are not aware of themselves, their bodies and who are living in constant despair. How can I reach them? How can I make them understand they are not alone?
Then I realized I can’t do everything by myself. I can’t save the world. I can’t make people see what I see. But I also can’t get discouraged all the time. What I’ve started to tell myself is this, even if I shift one life, help one more person change or think or feel relief then I’ve done my job. I can let go of the weight of the world.
I’ve also noticed that people who are shifting ( myself included when I started my path) that they were so excited to share their knowledge only to get rejected by the people they deem as their family and loved ones. Truth is, they will never change, it’s you who has chosen the change and you really don’t need to focus on those who dismiss you. Perfect example, my parents have me; a highly intuitive, can heal energy, help people constantly, yet when I tell them something it’s completely dismissed. Just a couple of days ago my mothers energy was completely ungrounded. I mentioned it to her and stated, ” get grounded or by the time you come home tonight after work, you will feel drained and not well” ask me if she listened! Lol nope! But here is what I realized, my mother loves attention. She needs it, so by being sick she gets some form of people feeling sorry for her. How do you change something like that, something they have been doing their whole life? You can’t, so try your best to walk away from it and do your thing.
This can be hard when it’s a spouse or a close friend. Remember you can choose, as long as they are supportive, open minded and respectful then you have nothing to worry about! But if they put you down for who you are, you’ll have to get clear about your boundaries. You are the most important being in your world. If you’re not ok, nobody is. Imagine you’re sick, how could you care for anyone ???
My point is this, you can’t do everything alone, so you need to find like minded souls to help you be the best version of yourself. Not sit, drink vino, gossip, vent and repeat the whole process the next weekend but look for people who help you grow, support you, see past your complaints and help you thrive.
Even when my motivation is lacking, I have cheer leaders on my side. Even when I feel helpless and alone, I have a soul family I can turn to. I can be my best and worst and still be loved with no fear of people judging me. Actually, even if they did judge, I have so much awareness in myself that I don’t need them to make me feel amazing but I need them to help me remember my mission and purpose.
We all have something that triggers and brings us down. Just remember you don’t have to do everything alone. Find the right people to support you, stop looking for validation from the same people who put you down or don’t want to change.
